Gay Rights

Conservatives believe that gays should not have the rights of the traditional family and that they should not be able to officially marry. Conservatives want the traditional man and woman family to be the only family in American and are strongly opposing to give rights to gay couples that straight couples recieve.
Liberals are open to giving gay couples rights to marry and the advantages straight couples get. Liberals are more open to change and they want to help people be happy even if it is not the traditional way.
I would consider myself more of a liberal, so I am liberal on this topic as well. Let gay couples get married and give them equality to traditional couples. Lately, this country is all about equality - so why not show it here.

Abortion

Conservatives believe that abortion is very bad and is murder. They believe the woman should not have choice on abortion. Liberals, on the other side, belive that the woman is in charge of the choice of abortion. The call it pro-choice. I think that the woman should have control, and I'd say I'm pro choice.

Brands

I think the statement is true. Companies do want to make lots of money and the way to do this is to reach out to people and the companies try to show the people that they are interested in them. It's all just for money, but I don't think it's bad if the consumers do like what they are buying. But it does make me respect big companies and brand names less and less, because all they want is your money.

Renegades of Funk

Rage Against the machine covered this song. It was originally written by Afrika Bambata. This song had a fast beat and it is a likable song. It has cool lyrics and Rage Against the Machine incorporates lots of guitar in this song. The chorus is "We're the Renegades of Funk." This song is definetly considered funk in the terms of genre, and the lyrics show a lot about what genre/tempo the band sings at.

Rage Against the Machine

My chosen artist does represent the values of our generation. Rage Against the Machine incorporates lots of guitar in their music and they have a fast paced tempo with the lyrics being screamed in most of their songs. I think this generation is likes to hear that kind of beat. In terms of their genre, many people say that they incorporate rap, funk, metal, and hard rock in their songs. Many bands that are successful have this variety of genres and people enjoy the wide genres of music today.

The King

Elvis was definitely a huge name in music and American history. Some people disliked his style and the way he moved on stage. However, many more people liked his new style. It was different and really incorporated a lot of dance in it. Elvis was a big star during the civil rights movement, and his music eventually helped bring blacks and whites together. His music brought people together, regardless of race to enjoy some exciting music.
